Greg Mitchell is passionate about creating sculptural environments and fascinated by how light tranforms space and story.
He is an assistant professor of theatre design at UC, Santa Barbara as well as a freelance scenic, lighting, and projection designer for theatre, opera, and dance. Periodically, he works in the disciplines of costume design, sound design, television, corporate, and live interactive events.
Greg's work has been seen Off Broadway in New York, at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, regional theatre, international opera, television, live music, national touring concerts, and has been nominated for the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Design.
